My boyfriend and I (both animators/artists) celebrated our 3 year anniversary together...we have known each other for 5 years through university. So I made him a card with this illustration of the both of us. What is great is we just got a new place together...so happy anniversary to us!
A friend of mine mentioned there was a "project" being made for a "film" about "owls"...so I thought, Ive never drawn an owl, or recently anyway...so here are some I did about a month ago.
Being a fan of Wonder Woman, I recently visited the big beautiful wonder woman blog...I was inspired to do one myself real quick...lets see if the blog-master posts it some time. I call it "Time for Wonder Woman to get out and get herself a new Xbox 360."
It was raining and I had nothing particularly interesting to do, so I did some character sketches...New Bond, Rocknroller's Gerard Butler, Wanted's Fox, Dark Knight's Joker, Lost's Sawyer (in 'son of a bitch' mode) and Sweeney Todd. Id like to get around to colouring these, or before that, pushing the poses into more dynamic actions.
Now Ive had my fill of creatures, Im going to go back to some characters...so here is a memory sketch of a dude at the train station...surely he would of been better off with a walkman or boombox for his big fingers. This dude was a bit of a misfit.
While working at Liquid Studios (Liquid Interactive) I was the (co-creator) artist & flash animator of the new TAFE (Australian College) promotional website www.anythingspossible.com.au The other co-creator was copywriter Ryan Yip, (he likes writing about Tomatoes, Avocados, Midget Sex Tapes). Anyway! here is some of the concept artwork I did for the project...please go play the game to see the animation, its a cute site...especially the pre-loader...I think thats the best part!
Here is my entry for conceptart.org Character of the Week...its a Host which I defined as a countryside Host that would exist around the moors in Scotland or other country parts of the UK. I decided to do a hideous and dangerous demonic Slaugh that would sort out old farmers close to death...the second concept is a more Renessiance womanly version.
I have decided to take on the conceptart.org weekly challenges for practice of concept art since it is a great way to get motivation. Here is my creature entry for #116 A Polar Saw Bear. And this is my definition:Polar Saw Bear, the missing link between the Saw Fish and Polar Bear, before one went to the sea and the other to land.He uses his snout to detect prey beneath the ice, then cuts a hole and scoops them out. They then use the snout to flick the food into the air and catch it in their mouth. This manner of fishing and capture is only used if the Polar Saw Bear chooses not to go into the sea to seek out fish and seals with its swimming and slicing skills. When the Polar Saw Bear is in mating season, their fur upon the belly turns a bright shade of orange salmon red towards the other male competition. When courting a female, he will also display this colour along with a freshly killed fish. ..below is the progress.
I got this awesome personalised card from my friend today who works at Krome gaming...she kept in mind that i have an allergy to stone fruit...even though i love them! I did this image below for my boyfriend's birthday.
I asked a friend to give me some ideas for quick drawings, these were some of them...there is also an Indiana Jones sketch and some other stuff, but Im colouring those.
Here is a style that I havent done for a long time...tried my best seeing as I have been doing a heap of toony stuff. Here are some old paintings from my short film Vial of Youth
This was painted in photoshop for the Advance Breast Cancer Group. I just got word that they have decided to use a logo instead... This sketch is for an America job... and I did this image was for my cousin's 16th birthday in Flash.
